This past Tuesday saw the release of ‘I Want You Back! Unreleased Masters‘ – a collection of The Jackson 5’s unreleased demos, rare songs and such. The stand-out track here is a never before released Michael Jackson song, ‘Buttercup’. The song was written by Jackson’s long time family friend Stevie Wonder. You can tell from his vocals that this was not Michael as a little kid in The Jackson 5 – this is young adult Michael – sounding soulful as ever. I’m loving this; it already feels like a classic I’ve known and loved for years.
